SILVERDALE DOG PARK RULES

  • Your Dog Your Poop

    Poop pollutes please pick up after your dog! Whatever you do, don't be that person who doesn't pick up after their dog. If you're scrolling through your phone you won't notice when your dog pops a squat.  It is your responsibility to actively pay attention to your dog.  Left behind poop is a health hazard that can spread disease to humans and animals. Silverdale dog park offers poop stations with bag dispensers around the park and trash cans for waste disposal. 

  • Aggressive Dogs Prohibited

    Aggression will not be tolerated at the dog park. Immediately remove your dog at first sign of aggressive and come back another day. Dogs, like humans, disagree and need a reset sometimes.   Please maintain physical control over your dog at all times. While we hope that there will never be any serious trouble at our peaceful little dog park, all visitors should be aware that we take safety seriously. Please be aware all aggressive dog behavior will be reported to the authorities.   If your dog bites/attack another dog or person you are liable for any damage he/she may cause. If park staff notices continued aggressive behavior from same dog we will revoke your park visiting privalages.

  • Dog Treats/Human Food NOT ALLOWED

    Treats and human food are not allowed in the dog parka any time for any reason! Please leave them in your car or at home. Treats/ human food in the dog park will 100% get every dogs attention. Dogs can still smell them just fine in your pocket or purse.  Dogs that have resource guarding behavior will start a fight over other dogs eating treats.  Sometimes dogs that visit the park have specific diets or food allergies and could become very ill after eating treats. Just because we have a picnic table doesn’t mean you should bring a plate of ribs in and have e picnic. That is not appropriate inside the dog park. Please note if you bring food inside our dog park you will be held liable if that sarts a fight between dogs! Please help us keep our park safe and don't bring treats or food past the gate. NO EXCEPTIONS

  • No Puppies Under 4 Months

    For the safety of all dogs, puppies under 4 months are not allowed in the dog park.  They MUST have all rounds of DPP, Rabies, and Boardetella vaccination to use our dog park.  

  • No Leashed Dogs

    All owners must unleash your dog in the holding area. Do NOT bring your leashed dog into the off leash area! Do NOT walk around in off leash area with a leashed dog. This helps to avoid dog fights and miscommunication you create with your leash.  You are only allowed to use your leash inside the off leash area if you are leaving immediately after you leash up.

  • No Digging

    Please pay attention to your dog while in off leash area. DO NOT allow your dog to dig holes into the ground at dog park. If you see another dog digging say something! Digging is a safety hazard for dogs/people and is not allowed. If you catch your dog digging it is your responsibility to fill the hole back in.

  • Supervise Your Dog

    Pet parents must be in the park and supervising their dogs at all times.   It is not the responsibility of another pet parent to watch/discipline your dog.   Please put your cellphone/ laptop away and pay attention to your dog.

  • No Female Dogs in Heat

    Female dogs in heat are not permitted inside our dog park during heat cycle. (most cycles last 2-4 weeks). A female in season will trigger dog fights between males competing for her attention. Unintentional breeding will happen f you bring a female dog in heat inside the dog park.
